Sometimes all you need to get your major home appliance working is the use and care, owner's manual or user's guide that has long since disappeared. The resources listed here will help you to get a replacement manual with the minimum of fuss.

Some of the larger manufacturers now make owner's manuals, care and use guides and installation instructions available for download on-line in Adobe Acrobat .PDF file format. If you don't already have the Adobe Acrobat plug-in for your browser or an Adobe Acrobat file reader, you can get it for free here:

Of course the exact model number off the appliance (and occasionally the serial number as well) will be required to get the proper manual for it.
